The Pillars of the Earth

In a time of civil war, famine and religious strife, a magnificent cathedral is built in Kingsbridge ... this is a sensuous and enduring love story and an epic that shines with the fierce spirit of a passionate age.

Dear Ken,

As an English teacher I have had a hard time over the years trying to squeeze in any spare time to read for mere enjoyment. I was recently recommended to try one of your books and was instantly engaged. I find myself carrying one of your books with me everywhere just to spend a few moments with the characters and escape the world of grading papers and preparing for my students. Thank you for creating such masterpieces that have brought me back to the reason why I started teaching English in the first place - the joy of a great book. I only hope that my rediscovered enthusiasm for the joy of reading can in some way touch the hundreds of students I come in contact with each day.

Thank you. Sincerely,
Danielle

Dear Ken,

I know you get a lot of these messages every day, but I just wanted to tell you how much I love reading your work. I have just completed Hornet Flight, it was everything i was hoping. As a young man, I could really picture myself in Harald's shoes and the whole story came to life beautifully. Each night, I would actually look forward to sitting down and traveling to the world of Harald and Karen.

I am an avid reader of your books and hope that you keep up the great work. I know of many people who also have a great interest in your writing, so you must be doing something right!

Thanks!

Mr. Follet,

Just wanted to say how much I deeply enjoyed 'Hornet Flight'. I am a US soldier deployed to Iraq and my in-laws sent it to me. I could hardly put it down and felt that sweet let-down when I finished it. I didn't want it to end. Thanks for writing such a great book.

Sincerely,
