Mr. Follett,
I just picked up a copy of 'The Pillars of the Earth' (I reread it every year) that included your preface. I had to write to you and let you know just how much I love this book. It is my favorite and I always recommend it to people. Indianapolis, Indiana where I live has a "One City One Book" club every year and I continue to propose this book. Maybe if I am persistent someday it will be chosen. I do not usually write a fan letter but as I get older I have started to do so. I believe that when someone touches your life you need to let them know. This book has done that for me. I also love to visit English cathedrals and like you I love to spend at least a day seeing them. I have been fortunate to be able to visit England and have been able to see a few of them.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that one day I will get a chance to see you in person.

Hi Ken
I have read 'The Third Twin', 'Whiteout', 'Code to Zero', 'The Hammer of Eden' and I'm reading 'Hornet Flight' at the moment, which I'm enjoying very much. Congratulations on your books and I look forward to reading the rest of them.

Hi Ken,
Thank you for writing books :) 'Whiteout' is absolutely fantastic. Second only to 'The Eye of the Needle' for me. I'm looking forward to your next book.

See you!

Dear Mr Follett,
As a French reader, let me express all my admiration for your skill as a novelist. I read 'The Pillars of the Earth' three times and wait impatiently for the sequel. I enjoyed so much your description of the Middle Ages, and the characters in the novel (Aliena, Jack, Philip) are really unforgettable.

Kind regards

Dear Ken
I have read most of your books and I love each and every one of them. In fact, I can't get anything done around the house these days because my nose is usually in one of your books. My husband got me started ('Pillars' is his favorite book of all time – he has read it three or four times – I loved it too.) Anyway my comment for you is – thank you for having so many women as your protagonists. I just finished 'Hornet Flight' (loved Karen), 'Whiteout' (loved Toni) and 'Jackdaws' (loved Flick). I wonder who your inspiration is for all of these strong women? Thanks for so many times when I stayed up late reading and when I couldn't wait to pick up the book again the next morning. Keep up the good work and we can't wait until the sequel to 'Pillars'. Happy writing (and thank you again),

PS: I picked 'A Dangerous Fortune' as my favorite novel of yours here on this questionnaire, but it really is an unfair question. I have absolutely loved every one of your books that I have read, about as much as the last.

Dear Ken
I just wanted to thank you for helping get in to reading. I was not much of a reader at all but bought 'Lie Down with Lions' at a book sale two years ago. I could not put it down. I have read all of your books now plus several other authers work. Thanks for sharing your talent of writing with the world.

Dear Ken
I just finished 'Whiteout' and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had forgotten how well you write. I had not read one of your novels for quite some time but now, of course, I will be going through my dusty collection of books and scouring book stores looking for your name.

Thanks very much.

Dear Ken,
I bought your book 'Whiteout' by chance while browsing through a local bookshop. I bought 'Hornet Flight' shortly afterwards. I loved them both. 'The Pillars of the Earth' was utterly brilliant – I'd say it's one of the best books I have ever read. I was hooked from the opening line and it took seconds to get into the book. I just thought I'd drop you a quick e-mail to say 'thank you'. You have given me hours of reading pleasure. I have just started 'Code to Zero' and it is going very well. Thanks again and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to 'Pillars' .

Yours sincerely,
Luke

It only took me a few days to read 'Whiteout'. I could not put it down! From the first page to the last there was always something happening. Once again I was not disapointed. Thank you for the great read.
