I just finished 'World without End' this morning and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. Although it was set much later in time, it was almost as though I were coming home. I have read the 'The Pillars of the Earth' so many times, and I actually re-read it before 'World without End' came out so I could get into the mode.

Again, thank you for such a wonderful book.

I am a trucker, who was looking to pass a lot of spare time. I was hurrying through Wal-Mart on a Saturday afternoon, and grabbed the thickest book I could find (that wasn't a self help book.) I couldn't have been more astonished to find a piece of literature that was not only absolutely enthralling to read, but packed full of history.
Perhaps 970 pages seems like too much, but for me, the thirty some odd years in the book passed in less than three days. The novel is in stark contrast to my life, which is full of steel, concrete, solitude and peaceful repetition. Thank you for the beautiful imagery.

I just finished reading 'World Without End'. I must say, 'Pillars of The Earth' kept my attention better than any book I had read previously. 'World Without End' was by far superior and amazingly enlightening. Thank you for your work, and now the true reason for the message. Please, and I know you have probably heard this numerous times, contemplate writing a sequel (and hopefully without as long of a waiting).

I couldnt wait till 28th Dec when the Spanish version is coming so I bought it in English!! I think I am going to enjoy it even more! I have already started it!

Just got my 3rd copy of 'The Pillars of the Earth' (The 1st two were borrowed & never returned!). Can't wait to read it again – to the extent I can't be bothered doing 'Christmas visiting', but my girlfriend will kill me if I do that!! Actually just finished re-reading 'Hornet Flight' & 'Whiteout' (back to back), didn't expect this from 'Santa' so I'm having a very 'Folletty' December!!

'The Pillars of the Earth' was your best, in my estimation, and I was surprised to see it revived by Oprah as it seems I read it almost 20 years ago.
