I have just finished reading 'Whiteout'. I read many, many books and usually fall asleep after reading a couple of chapters. 'Whiteout' has to be the most or one of the most exciting books I have read. I could not put it down and never fell asleep while reading it. I have read many of your books and always look if there are any that I have not already read.

Thank you for many hours of very enjoyable reading. Three or four years ago, I bought a copy of 'A Dangerous Fortune' at Goodwill, a local thrift store, and enjoyed it immensely. On my next visit, I found a copy of 'Lie Down with Lions', and was hooked. I then purchased, through Amazon.com, and read, in order of publication, all of your novels. I just finished 'World Without End'. I kept wishing for you to get rid of Ralph, before you finally did.
Again, thank you. I have enjoyed all of your novels, and it will be difficult to pick one favorite, but I will probably go with 'The Pillars of the Earth'. I am looking forward to the TV production.

Thank you for 'WWE'. It became like a dear friend I kept close to me as we spent time together, mostly at meals. As the number of pages read grew and the end approached I felt like I and my friend were growing apart. As I read the last pages I felt like crying because my friend was leaving me now, with wonderful memories but leaving me nonetheless. So take a break if you must, but please take Kingsbridge into the 16th century before too much time has passed. Again, thank you for giving me such happiness.

Thank you for introducing me to recreational reading. I hated reading and read text books when required for school. I picked up ‘Pillars of the Earth’ because someone said it was their favorite book. I hated it for about 70 pages but then I couldn't put it down. I loved it. I have now become an avid reader and I have to give you credit. I have read several of your books and I'm now I'm hooked on several other authors as well. You have a gift and I thank you for introducing me to a whole new world. Also, I'm 48 years old .. .I now wish I would have picked up a "good" book earlier.

This is my first ever fan letter and I am 67 years old! I was flying to Hawaii from Chicago and needed a great "read" to pass the time. At a dinner party a few days before we left all the women suggested 'Pillars of the Earth' and I picked it up at the library. I read for 10 hours straight!! My poor husband was not even allowed to talk to me!! I read it while we waited for our luggage and on the drive to our home. I read it while workmen installed a new tile floor and did a lot of other repairs!! I called my mother (age 92) and told her to get ot from the library and she couldn't put it down either. I am so thrilled that you are making a film of it. Hayley Atwell will be a perfect Alinea, she is a great actress. I can't wait!!

Mr. Follett,
I am in the early stages of trying to write a book placed in 1600-1658 and someone in my writing group loaned me ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ because I have several groups of people I am following, as you did in this book. His purpose was to show me how I could work the layout of the chapters. I started the book and could not put it down until I was finished ... and it wasn't until I was almost finished today that I realized what he meant by the chapters. This is a truly wonderful gift to readers and I will be reading more of your work in the future. Thanks for the experience.

I was quite excited; I had finished my day's activities and was looking forward to reading more of your wonderful book, 'World Without End.' It was then that I realized I had finished it the preceding evening. I almost felt depressed.
