The World Without End board game shares the Kingsbridge location as The Pillars of the Earth, but occurs 200 years later. The game shares many themes with the 'Pillars' game, but is a new standalone game.
As citizens of Kingsbridge, players manage variaous activities: building, trading, religion, feeding, and medicine. At each turn an event card is flipped that defines available player actions. Points can be won in numerous ways, such as by creating buildings or taking care of sick people.
The game, designed by Michael Rieneck and Stefan Stadler, with artwork by Michael Menzel, is published by Kosmos. It won the 2010 Spiel des Jahres Special Prize for 'Game of the Year Plus'.
It is suitable for 2-4 players 12 years and older. It has been published in several languages as:
Die Tore der Welt
Brug naar de Hemel
Un monde sans fin
Mondo Senza Fine
Un Mundo Sin Fin
Świat bez końca
Ένας κόσμος χωρίς τέλος
